The design for Wulaba Park amplifies rather than conceals its role as a detention basin, to create distinctive and memorable park spaces. The landform creates a high point or “island” in the northern end of the park connected to Archibald Avenue and associated square by a bridge. A series of gardens spaces are proposed in the park, providing a variety of spaces with seasonal variety and colour. The design integrates public art by Nuha Saad into key elements in the park including colour patterning to the tower balustrades and pergola canopy. Photo: Simon Wood
