This regional skate facility was the first of its kind constructed for Blacktown Council. A working design group; Placebo Culture – public artists, the landscape architect and members of the skating community held workshops with local skaters. Whilst a long time frame was required it was recognised that to be successful the skate park must satisfy all the stakeholders. Specific designs were generated as well as broader ideas for art to be incorporated into the facility. Final designs were reviewed by a focus group of experienced skaters.
