From 1998-2008 a range of upgrades were undertaken to the historic Science Road Precinct of the University of Sydney. Parking was reconfigured, signage installed, sandstone kerbs replaced and new footpaths installed. Walls were designed in sympathy with historic walling. The planting scheme references the historic Waterhouse planting, shady areas were planted with Camellias, Clivea, Calatheas, Philodendron Xanadu and Lilly Pilly. Camellias and Azaleas were planted adjacent to the fountain, complemented by a strong architectural planting of Philodendron xanadu and Mondo Grass.
