The Peninsula Recreation Precinct provides a series of “play zones” designed around a community hub. It includes a variety of play experiences and adventures for different age groups and abilities. Off-the-shelf play items were combined with custom features & play pieces. A sweeping back dune and planting form both discreet and open areas of play; a maze featuring sound, scent and texture & broad-scale challenging climbing nets. Children contributed to the project, hand painting tiles for the maze walls. Exercise equipment, picnic areas, BBQ shelters and a community stage link via a circular shared path.
